Dr. Maureen Archer, President of Professional English, Inc., has received her Certified Professional in Learning and Performance (CPLP) designation, a new certification administered through the American Society for Training and Development. The CPLP recognizes professionals who have met stringent standards and demonstrated their expertise in a broad spectrum of learning and performance areas, including design, delivery, measurement, and evaluation of professional training programs.

Dr. Archer received her Ph.D. in English Linguistics from Purdue University. After teaching college for ten years, she founded Professional English, Inc., in 1998 to provide individual and group training to improve adults' speaking, writing, and business communication skills. While continuing to provide training, Professional English recently expanded its services to include communication consulting, program design/coordination, and writing/editing.
